Learn to Swim Program

Summer Lessons have been cancelled. Beginning lessons now on September 7th. You can sign-up on September 1st and 2nd at 7:15pm. Classes will be held at 6:30-7:00 and/or 7:15pm - 7:45pm, depending on demand.

For a Class to begin it must have 3 kids in a class. Classes will be provided when a class is filled throughout the year.

One Session: $45 (two weeks, 30 minutes lessons)

Mommy 'N Me Class: $50 (four weeks, MWF, 40 minnute lessons)

All swimmers with long hair must wear a swim cap. You can purchase on deck for $3.

No T-shirts are allowed in the pool. If you feel you need a shirt you need to purchase a rash guard.

Our lessons are taught by certified instructors and are adult teachers. Our younger teachers are only teachers aides to help with classes if necessary.

Swim Lessons Levels (not including Mommy 'N Me):

Level 1: Splasher (Adaption), Prerequisites: Must be able to enter water without the assistance of a parent or guardian.

Level 2: Beginner, Prerequisites: Child must be able to blow bubbles, submerge completely underwater, hold their breathe underwater, basic float position, make kicking action with and without a kickboard, jump in the water, and make freestyle arm motion

Level 3: Novice Swimmer, Prerequisites: All Level 2 prerequisites, Push off the wall in streamline, Swim freestyle for short distance, flutter kick on their back unassisted, and be able to perform a sit dive

Level 4: Intermediate Swimmer, Prerequisites: All previous levels prerequisites, Push off the wall and kick, Kneel dive, crouch dive, freestyle, backstroke, tread water for one minute, and Introduced to Breaststroke and Butterfly kicks

Level 5: Swimmer, Prequisites: All previous levels prerequisites, Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke, The Worm, Survival stroke, Dive into water, somersault in the water, and eggbeater kick for treading water

Our goal is to teach kids how to swim as quickly as the specific child is able to, so that they can try out our seasonal swim program or Bronze group where they stengthen the skills learned in the first 4 levels. Level five is not required to join the Bronze group.
